Darkness into Light for Shane (Sully)
This year marks the third year we will participate in Darkness into Light in memory of our beloved Shane. People often say that time heals all wounds, but we know that isn't true. Not a moment goes by that we don't think of Shane. Life feels sharp and harsh without him.
Once in a lifetime, we meet someone who makes us feel safe, builds us up, and fills us with love simply by being present. Shane was one of those rare individuals. His absence is felt in every moment of every day. While the world keeps moving, we continue to struggle with accepting that he is no longer with us.
To those of you who are also struggling, please know that you are doing your best, and there is a community of people supporting you, no matter the circumstances. Your best is truly the best. You are enough, you are incredible, and you bring more to this world than you may ever realize.
For those interested in joining us on the 10th of May, we will meet at the family home at 4.15am where we will begin our walk down the ‘bog’ road. We welcome anyone who would like to participate.
